You can get announcements of meetings and other information related to peace and justice on the email list Bloomington Normal Citizens for Peace and Justice, which you can join by sending an email to bncpj-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

The following is our current email list usage policy:

BNCPJ members use e-mail lists to accomplish the goals for the organization laid out in the BNCPJ by-laws. Occasionally, our e-mail lists have carried excessive, extraneous, or destructive e-mail traffic. To keep our e-mail lists as productive and effective as possible while maintaing diversity and healthy debate, the Board has established the following rules for the main BNCPJ e-mail list (bncpj@yahoogroups.com).

1. Users will post only announcements that provide immediate opportunities for group or individual *actions* consistent with the goals of BNCPJ. Users should not post background information, news links, or items of general interest to this action list. Those items belong instead on the BNCPJ *discussion* list, the rules for which invite news, background information, and substantial back-and-forth discussion.
2. Users will limit their postings to two messages per week. The Board may, at its discretion, allow exceptions to this limit for special circumstances directly related to BNCPJ activities.
3. The tone and content of all messages will be courteous and respectful. Insults, taunts, and tirades are unacceptable, since they damage relationships in the organization and drive people from the e-mail lists.
